LOS ANGELES (AP) - They took the good, they took the bad - then they were taken off the air. Now, "The Facts of Life" cast members are getting ready for a reunion. Production is scheduled to begin next month in Toronto on a TV movie to air on ABC, Variety reported Tuesday. Original cast members Charlotte Rae, Mindy Cohn, Kim Fields and Lisa Whelchel have said they will take part. It's unknown whether Nancy McKeon will appear in a cameo. "The Facts of Life" starred Rae as an East Coast boarding school housemother and Cohn, Fields, Whelchel and McKeon as the students she looked after. The sitcom aired on NBC from 1979-88. According to Variety, the TV movie will focus on Natalie (Cohn) asking her former classmates to reunite in Peekskill, N.Y., after she receives two marriage proposals. The filmmakers have not approached George Clooney, who played a young carpenter named George during the 1985-86 season, to see if he will participate.
